Hello from Miqo'tower!
We're the Free Company behind the Miqo'tower Ca(t)fe, our very own cute and cozy corner of the Lavender Beds. We wanted our home to feel welcoming to anyone who comes by, be they friends, family, or strangers. Please feel free to come in whenever you need a place to hang out or Gpose in!

A note on RPing:
Despite how it may seem, the cafe is not an RP venue, and we are not a dedicated RP FC! Some of our members enjoy visiting venues or RPing, but none of us are veteran members of FFXIV's RP scene by any means.
Many of us will engage in light RP with people who stop by, and we occasionally host light/casual-RP events. Still, please be respectful of anyone who may not want in RP while in our space (and in general)!

Sweet and Spicy
The newest member of MQTWR's staff, M'khail is usually found behind the front counter, serving guests with charm and frequent compliments. If not behind the counter, M'khail is probably back in the kitchens, bothering Lang for a taste of what he's been working on.

The self-described baby of the group, Rin's main interests are chocolate, truffles, and chocolate truffles. He's usually lost in a book but can occasionally be spotted helping out in the kitchen or doing other odd jobs.

First Floor
Cafe
Step past the front doors and you’ll be treated to the mouth-watering scent of baked goods and freshly brewed drinks. The dazzling array of both sweet and savory foods on display will leave one spoiled for choice, and guests can feel free to while away long hours nibbling on delicious foods on the equally cute chocobo tables and macaron chairs.
Second Floor
Main Library
The second floor of the cafe hosts the bulk of MQTWR's eclectic collection of books. From children’s fairy tales to crafting guides to arcane tomes, the library has a wide range of books and other reading materials for perusal. However, there doesn't seem to be a clear organization system… if you are looking for particular books, please consult the staff. Visitors can be served food and drink from the cafe here, but will need to take special care not to spill any on the books. While books are not meant to be taken out of the cafe, borrowing on a more long-term basis may be discussed with the staff.
Florist
One corner of the second floor serves as a florist boutique for those looking for some flowers or foliage to gift to loved ones or bring home to take care of. Cultivated in the lush gardens of the Lavender Beds, there are roses, sunflowers, succulents and all manner of plants available for purchase and delivery. There's even a small section of the shopfront selling handmade soaps and scents.
Chocobo Tarot
Hidden behind some elaborate partitions is a bright burst of yellow and chocobo patterns. It seems to be a… tarot reading corner? Patrons will find that the resident chocobo catboy offers unique readings based on his own personal interpretation of the standard tarot deck. MQTWR takes no responsibility for the consequences arising from choosing to follow the tarot's advice.
Basement
Members' Rest Area
Below the bustling main area of the cafe is the warm and cozy basement, open only to MQTWR members and friends. Here, MQTWR members may rest and relax next to the warmth of the crackling fireplace. This is also where communal meals are had at the dining tables.

Mysterious Carby Circle
(Room #5, Rin Starling)
There's a circle of carbuncles in here. Why? How? Their beady eyes seem to follow you around the area. There are whispers that praying in the Carby Circle will grant you good luck, be it in romance or raids… no harm paying your respects to the almighty carbuncles, right...?
Dance Studio
(Room #8, M'khail Legato)
Originally put together for personal use by MQTWR's resident dancer, M'khail eventually realized he was traveling too much to make full use of it. Being the son of an Ul'dahn merchant, he saw a business and cultural opportunity. The room is open for anyone to stop by and practice some steps, as long as the room isn't occupied. It is also available for rent, for group rehearsals or small scale, casual performances. Contact M'khail Legato on Mateus for details. Dancer's pole can be removed upon request.
The Ruby Thorn
(Room #9 - Anya Briarblood)
Run by the enterprising Mistress Anya Briarblood, adventurer and merchant, the Ruby Thorn offers magical solutions to your myriad problems. A wide array of magical artifacts, books, and potions are displayed in this shop, promising answers… for a price. Leave a message in the guestbook if you would like to seek a consultation with the busy Mistress Briarblood, and she'll get around to you eventually.
Traditional Performance and Tea Room
(Room #11 - Coy Lee)
The private room used by the musician Coy to entertain clients. It is designed in the traditional Far Eastern style, with a seating area to appreciate his musical performances and an open-air balcony to appreciate the night view while enjoying tea. The room can be booked for private use for a (in-character only) pricey fee.
